Somewhere over a cloudy expanse, a sorcery student struggles with her homework. Noises of magic, humble and grandiose. Bright starlight shining on isles above and below. The ceaseless waves of blessed life.

Somewhere else, a scavenger assembles their crude tools and weapons. Noises of predators, vile and mighty. Eternal ink draped over desolate earths of dust and rot. The dying breath of creation robbed of its creators.

Moved by secret resolve, selfish fascination and miraculous circumstances, these two will fall together from their nests, into unexpected flight. And in their fall they shall learn the value of understanding, the cruelty of truth, and the cost of justice.

Perhaps, if their will remains strong and all odds align, they may accomplish the impossible, and bring salvation to a collapsing world.
